It's a neat idea. I'd like to see other people's badges and for people to be able to see mine.38 votes
Badges are now “pins” (so nobody confuses them with convention badges) and we will be adding more very soon…as well as a way for people to view yours.
I'd like to see year-over-year data for cons you have information on (attendance figures, price, dates, guests) represented in some sort of graphical form. The most obvious use is for modeling con growth over time, comparing growth rates, dips, etc. and modeling the data on multiple cons based on geographic location and time. I think this functionality would provide an interesting look into the evolution of cons in different areas of the country / around the world and possibly show how dates and competition effect growth rates.37 votes
This is coming in the near future.
I know a few other sites do this, but it would be nice to have a place to upload them that doesn't charge for it and has a full list of cons31 votes
Progress on this has started and will be available soon after our upcoming site redesign.
We are planning to add a section for verified convention organizers to manage details of their own convention. Once this has been added, we can also have a place for receiving feedback. …but this will have to wait for that to be done first. (Best case scenario is that it’s added at the same time, but it won’t be done before that.)
I'd like to see a section, accessible only to convention heads using the official convention Email address, where con heads can detail their experiences with Guests. This would allow us to determine whether or not a particular Guest may suitable, or if we should avoid them for being a drama queen.26 votes
Believe it or not, this is actually something which has been on the drawing board for a while. We hope to add it in the next few months since there are a number of other new features for convention organizers which are dependent on this section being done first.
Allow me to track pre-registration, hotel, and travel confirmation numbers for each convention so I can keep them all in one place.
I sometimes forget what cons I've booked a hotel for or have already booked flights to get to or if I've pre-registered or not. It would be nice to be able to track this. ...and while I do so, keep confirmation numbers in one place so if there's a problem checking in, I can just look up the confirmation number on the site!6 votes
If there is enough support for this idea, we can implement it.
Make a page with images of various sizes that we can add to our convention web sites or blogs to link to AnimeCons.com.2 votes
This is currently planned to be added in the next few months.
We are currently well underway on implementing a responsive web site design that is very mobile friendly. While implementing this, we’re testing on desktop computers, tablets, and cell phones of various sizes. It’s pretty cool and we can’t wait to have it completed!
I think there should a place for Agents and their website to be found so that Conventions looking for a place to find actors, where actors don't want their information public.1 vote
Already planning this. :)
On the map, you should be able to drop a pin at a location and search for conventions in a radius around you (i.e. Select Memphis, TN and have a circle of 50 miles around to see conventions)1 vote
Nothing major just a location correction for GeeCon :)
Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia1 vote
As an anime con, It would be awesome to be able to search other cons near me to see what bands have performed.1 vote
So you’d like to be able to select a guest type (such as “Band”) and see a list of cons in a particular region that have had guests of that type?
- Don't see your idea?
