It's a neat idea. I'd like to see other people's badges and for people to be able to see mine.38 votes
Badges are now “pins” (so nobody confuses them with convention badges) and we will be adding more very soon…as well as a way for people to view yours.
I'd like to see year-over-year data for cons you have information on (attendance figures, price, dates, guests) represented in some sort of graphical form. The most obvious use is for modeling con growth over time, comparing growth rates, dips, etc. and modeling the data on multiple cons based on geographic location and time. I think this functionality would provide an interesting look into the evolution of cons in different areas of the country / around the world and possibly show how dates and competition effect growth rates.37 votes
This is coming in the near future.
I know a few other sites do this, but it would be nice to have a place to upload them that doesn't charge for it and has a full list of cons28 votes
We are planning to add a section for verified convention organizers to manage details of their own convention. Once this has been added, we can also have a place for receiving feedback. …but this will have to wait for that to be done first. (Best case scenario is that it’s added at the same time, but it won’t be done before that.)
I'd like to see a section, accessible only to convention heads using the official convention Email address, where con heads can detail their experiences with Guests. This would allow us to determine whether or not a particular Guest may suitable, or if we should avoid them for being a drama queen.26 votes
Believe it or not, this is actually something which has been on the drawing board for a while. We hope to add it in the next few months since there are a number of other new features for convention organizers which are dependent on this section being done first.
As many of the people on animecons.tv are staff members them selves or have done it in the past. Have you thought of maybe adding a few new members or talking to other con staff members about what they do for people who might be interested in joining? It would give a much different look then what you already do.13 votes
This is something we want to do more of on AnimeCons TV.
I'd like to see the topic of Con burnout on an upcoming episode of the podcast. I've been recently having doubts of my home con and don't know if I should rethink my approach or just give up entirely.13 votes
I’m not sure what there is to say about con burnout. We’ll have to give it some thought and see if we can come up with any ideas on how to overcome it. However, people get con burnout for different reasons so the solutions may depend on the reasons you’re burned out in the first place.
I suggest that when its a birthday of a voice actress/actor, artist, etc, it should appear on the main page of AnimeCons.com
For Example, today its Rachael Lillis' Birthday ^_^ So could her birthday wishes be on the main page?11 votes
This might be something we’d consider adding if more people want it.
The written guides could cover various aspects of starting a convention and expand from there to cover topics related to running a convention. It could cover topics such as guests, programming, facilities, and more.7 votes
This is totally in the works. I’ve done a panel on how to start/run a convention a handful of times, so I already have the material. I just need to take it out of presentation form and put it into readable form.
Anyone can write a review and anyone can read the reviews. Write a review about the different events, the functionality of the whole con, and just the overall experience of being there.6 votes
We would like to add this feature to the site in the not-too-distant future.
Allow me to track pre-registration, hotel, and travel confirmation numbers for each convention so I can keep them all in one place.
I sometimes forget what cons I've booked a hotel for or have already booked flights to get to or if I've pre-registered or not. It would be nice to be able to track this. ...and while I do so, keep confirmation numbers in one place so if there's a problem checking in, I can just look up the confirmation number on the site!4 votes
If there is enough support for this idea, we can implement it.
Make a page with images of various sizes that we can add to our convention web sites or blogs to link to AnimeCons.com.2 votes
This is currently planned to be added in the next few months.
Our site operates well in mobile browsers. We used to have a mobile version a couple years ago, but it didn’t get much use. We eventually shut it off because it meant a lot of extra work for us whenever we’d make new pages and we’d need to make a mobile version too. However, if enough people vote for this idea, we will reconsider.
